New Need in Kentucky for an Interventional radiologist: Jan 14-18, 21-25, Feb 4-8, 11-15, Feb 25-Mar 1, March 11-15, and 18-22. The schedule is M-F, 8-5, with no call or overtime. Providers need to be comfortable with an average of 3-4 procedures a day and 80 diagnostic reads/day. The PACS is McKesson and the voice recognition is Powerscribe. The types of procedures you may see are as follows: all CT/US Guided Biopsies, Thoracentesis, Paracentesis , Drainages, Lumbar Puncture, Myleogram, Arthogram (Shoulder), Vertebroplasy, SI Joint Injections. The general breakdown is CT 31%. 5% mammo, 13% MRI, 15% US, 2% Nuclear Medicine, 23% plain Xray and 1% Pet.
