Outpatient imaging center in Houston is in need of an ABR certified women's imaging radiologist for part-time coverage January forward. Houston, named after former General Sam Houston who, in 1836, won the Battle of San Jacinto which gained Texas its independence from Mexico, is the fourth most populated city in North America and home to approximately two and a half million residents. It is a magnet for tourism, being closely linked with the Space Center Houston, and NASA’s astronaut training and flight control complex together with many other interesting attractions.
- The client prefers a fellowship in women's imaging, but it is not required. However, the radiologist must have significant experience and career focus in women's imaging.
- The average day consists of reading 50 screening mammograms, 7-8 diagnostic mammograms, and 8 pelvic ultrasounds for a total of 65 studies per day.
- The hours are 8am to 5pm, no call, no weekends, and no procedures.
- The site uses Candelis PACS, Hologic tomo, and they have transcriptionists onsite.
